He says it is interesting and if there are men of peace among the people that the Lord is putting him in contact with there is no reason why he would not identify them. He is excited about identifying more man of peace and starting house churches soon.

Jean says he is amazed to see how the Lord can open doors for the gospel. He said that it is only by the grace of God that he has so much opportunity to meet, talk and befriend so many people in a short time. He said that the Lord will do something in his life as long as he is committed and faithful. Jean says being a bus conductor earn him an additional income.

We had the opportunity to speak with two of the man of peace and head of the family in private. He told us in his owns words “Now I know the truth, they can kill us if they want” (referring to he and his family). When asked as to who would try to kill him, he replied and said “Pastor the people know themselves”.

Moumouny says that the man (name withheld) has now introduced him to his wife and children and they are quietly meeting and studying the Bible, something this man had bluntly refused to do.

According to Moumouny, this man is an Animist, an ordinary person in the community. He is very interested and excited about spiritual things, the things of God. This man of peace has also introduced him as a friend to another man who is a voodoo doctor. They are quietly studying together without the knowledge of any family member or friend. Here is the voodoo doctor testimony:

“My entire family is from a voodoo back ground. I am a voodoo doctor because I was favored by my grand uncle who passed this on to me. As you know I am very powerful man here and many people come to me and I give them power. But sometimes I always felt intimidated so I knew that there was some other power that is beyond my understanding that confuses me. So when ever I am confused or intimidated and can not find my way out I usually say this to them; base on the request you made to me, I gave you this charm or talisman to work for you, if God agrees.” He said in order for his charm or talisman to work against a person, he first commands the spirit of the person to appear before him. However he admits that he does not have the power no matter how hard he tries to command the spirits of some people (especially some Christians). So he tells his clients that this will work if God agrees, but none of them have ever asked him what he means if God agrees.

Moumouny, His Man of Peace and the Voodoo doctor are studying the Bible quietly.

Pastor Moumouny is requesting that we all join him in prayer so that this man (name withheld) and the voodoo doctor will be true men of peace as they go through the EMD in the CPM pyramid.

Meanwhile the church continues to hold regular church activities, Sunday School, Bible Study and prayer meetings. For the period the church attendance was 103, and a total of 3 person gave their lives to Christ. All 3 were animist.

The women have decided to move out of the city in order to open new preaching areas through the power of the Holy Spirit.  We are sure that at the pace at which we are moving God will soon work miracles in these areas. We are looking for a man of peace and during our evangelization of the city we have focused on John 1:1-4, Ephesians 6:10-18 and Mark 16:15-18. The topic taught is the authority of the word of God.

While preaching we encounter one woman who confess that she has been following our evangelistic team for sometime now since she came from the hospital at the beginning of the month. She is an influential Muslim woman who claimed that after our prayers she has been delivered from the spirit of death. She felt this death spirit had been trying to overcome her for some time. Her confession is that after following our team who had been preaching around and praying for people God finally freed her. We are praying that God will use her in her area and possibly be our man of peace. We are hopeful that within the next few weeks God will give us a success report for you.

According to Pastor Solomon Sawyer the national Coordinator of Liberia who is based in Monrovia, God is working marvelously in his ministry and he found a man of peace. Praise the Lord! This person of peace is a 47-year old woman who has now come to know the Lord.

After meeting her he began to cautiously work with her. The Holy Spirit led the way and began to immediately transform her life. By the Grace of God Pastor Sawyer has started a study at her home with her entire household. According to him they commenced on the 14 of February. Because of the way the Holy Spirit is working in this particular home six of the family members (ages 12 to 54) have accepted Christ and are willing to promote the Gospel in every way they can.
