Ministry Prayer Requests

DONE Inc.“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

The good news of the birth of God’s Son first came as a proclamation from his prophet. How wonderful it is to celebrate new life! Especially when a child is born; It brings happiness, excitement, great expectation, laughter, commitment, provision, healing, etc.

Therefore as we observe and celebrate the birth of the greatest one who ever lived on the face of this earth, Jesus Christ, the Joy to the world, Let us make it our prayer that the message of Peace and Joy will be proclaimed to the ends of the world. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Pray for the following:

CPM Ivory Coast: Self-Supporting Church, Skin Disease & Illness

New ChurchThe church is embracing the rains, despite its heavy down pour. Tanoe reported that since he moved to the village about five months ago things are beginning to happen. He has found three men of peace and the people themselves have constructed a temporary place of worship on their own as seen from this photo. For the first time, he reports that the place of worship is embracing the heavy down pour of rain without making an SOS call to Dakar. He said the members saw the need and prior to the raining season. Therefore they got together and contributed their labor, material, and funds and renovated the church. He said that he is amazed with the cooperation and support that he is getting from the congregation. His prayer now is to raised up a leader through the CPM pyramid so that he will move on. He is currently living with one of his man of peace in the village. He has found three man of peace. The amazing thing according to him, is that three man of peace was found in the same week.

Baby with Skin DiseaseIn other developments some members of the church ( men, women, boys, girls, The just married and even young babies) are affected with a skin disease as a result of toxic waste that was dump along the coast of that country (read news story here).

Pray for church members and nationals of the Ivory Coast who are affected with a skin disease as a result of toxic waste that was dump along the coast of that country.

Please Pray for the wife of Pastor Tanoe of the Ivory Coast. She has been hospitalized. She isIllness suffering from cancer in the breast. This was brought to our attention two years ago. The situation is very serious. Pastor Tanoe has now left the village and returned to the capital to attend after his sick wife

CPM Update: Leaves Family for 7 Months Searching for Man of Peace

Children's MinistryMBAH: In December of 2006, we reported that Pastor Adjake of Mbah left his wife in charge of the church, which mostly comprises of teenagers and moved out to another village in search of a man of peace.

Pastor Ajake says everything has worked well except finding a man of peace and starting a church.Pastor Adjake According to him, he is loved and known as one of the many small businessmen who provide basic commodities for the villages. His new career puts him in position to meet and discuss with a variety of people on what they would need to buy on market day. It is a day set by the villagers, when the entire village will meet to buy or sell whatever commodity or produce they might have. (Market day is once a week.) There are no stores or shops where items can easily be purchased. Commodities are brought in from the city or far away towns. Everyone in the village meet on this day to buy or sell. If you did not purchase a basic item during this time you will have to wait the following week market day to do so. Therefore everyone made sure that their basic needs were available during “market day”. Therefore they would inform traders like Ajake in advance what they need the coming Market Day. So Adjake had the opportunity of meeting a lot of people.

It has been a little over seven months since he left his family and started his new career in search of his man of peace. He says the business aspect and the relationship building is paying off and very effective, but he has not been successful in finding a man of peace. He is expected to return to Mbad by the end of this month to pray and consider another village and strategy.

2 Months 2 Cell Group Churches

2 Months 2 Cell ChurchesJoel has vowed to remain a Christian and to tell relatives, friends and everyone she meets about the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, despite family rejection and declaring her an infidel, a frustrated lady and one who does not have hope.
Joel says despite of all the ill threat and persecution from relatives, she still loves them. According to her, they are her family and nothing will ever change it.

Immediately after she was baptized, Joel fled the city for the village (name withheld) because of continuous harassment and pressure from family members and friends. From the village, Joel now reports that the Lord is working through her to His glory and many are getting to be saved through her testimony. At her request the ministry has send Evangelist Testimony Weah to assist her in what we believe the Lord is about to do through her. With in a period of two month, two cells groups have been established.
Baptism Joelle Diatta was baptized on Saturday June 30, 2007, by Rev. Thomas Browne after she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She is the only member of her family who is a Christian. Contrary to the family pronouncement that she is frustrated, Miss. Diatta is normal, well and very intelligent.

Burkina Faso Update

Doris Ba & Pastor MoumouniDoris Ba was able to stop in Burkina Faso as you took her two high school children to a new school in Ghana. She is sharing some study bibles she took with her. She writes that despite Satan’s attacks of accusations that our ministry is a Sect, Pastor Moumouni is shepherding the flock with grace and strength provided by God himself. Mrs. Moumouni is very ill, with diabetes and she just gave birth to a baby girl. She needs our prayers. While there Doris was able to encourage a new believer who had just given his life to God. His wife abandoned her home and this caused him to backslide and lose hope. She encouraged him and his daughter and gave them a study Bible as a gift. Pastor Moumouni will do the follow up. He also writes of how God is using him with his man of peace (name withheld). He meets with him and his wife and family very Wednesday to study the Bible. He also has brought in a friend who is voodoo doctor who had been favored by a grand uncle who was a voodoo doctor. He is studying in privacy with this family. Pray that God works in his life for a complete commitment to Jesus.

Village Persecution of DONE Pastor

Pastor Jean MaraIt was reported last month that in the process of searching for his man of peace, Jean Mara earnestly, left his home and relocated to a village he had never lived and where he though no one knew him as a pastor to implement all he was taught about the CPM, Mara was offered a job as a bus conductor by a Muslim whom he claimed to be a man of peace. This man is an owner of a transport bus that takes local business people to the market every Friday. Transportation in the area is a high demand so most business people make pre transportation arrangements prior to the market day.

Therefore making Jean Mara the Bus Conductor means that Jean meet and talk with lot of people, make appointments and collects fares. Jean Mara says he has made many friends in a very short period of time and some of them have accepted him into their homes. A bus conductor, but vision minded as he searches for his man of Peace. He says this world is a small place and he is being seriously persecuted not by the unbelievers but by some people of his village and people whom he served as their Pastor.

According to him it was business as usual a bus conductor, (a typical African style) collecting fares from commuters, when he was recognized by a lady from his village whom he baptized a year ago. She just could not imagine her pastor who once preach and taught her the word of God, could have reduced himself to a ragged bus conductor who refuses to publicly be identified as her pastor. She just could not comprehend. She was furous and publicly rain insult at him. She called him all sort of names. Jean says he was embarrassed. He had never experience such a thing. He said he was completely speechless and did not know what to do as he stood looking at this lady, who was pulling the crowd from every direction. The Driver and owner of the bus who happens to be Jean Mara man of peace knew exactly what was going hurrily disappear from the crowd with Mara.

According to Mara this lady returned to his village and has informed his family, villagers and the church that he is not a pastor or what he said he was, rather he was a dirty bus conductor (African style) working for a Muslim man to sustain him and his family. The church in Mara village is divided. The majority do not want Mara back or as their pastor. He and his families are called lots of terrible names. Some do not believe and are planning to go the village to see for themselves. Meanwhile the driver and owner of the bus, Jean man of peace has saked him to relinquish the job until tension in the village goes down.
